The Doctoral Degree Program of Information Science and Manufacturing Engineering looks at the organic relationships between information and manufacturing, in collaboration with the Master's Degree Programs of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Industrial and Information Systems Engineering.

Overview
The program gives researchers a thorough knowledge in production and information, supported by knowledge in other fields, and the ability to solve problems using a broad approach. Unique research work is carried out by a dedicated staff within four lecture groups.

The curriculum includes advanced engineering techniques such as the application of hereditary algorithms to solving information system design problems. Extensive research and development systems have been created to conduct research on mental fatigue using sleep experiments, utilization of clean energy using wind power conversion, etc. In order to foster the ability to think ahead, which is essential for researchers, the course invites several visiting lecturers to hold open-type seminars.

Lecture Groups:
- Advanced Lectures in Information Systems Engineering
- Advanced Lectures in Electronics Information Engineering
- Advanced Lectures in Manufacturing Systems Engineering
- Advanced Lectures in Energy Conversion Engineering
